Our Story

Our founding team started our careers the same way you did . . . helping people in clinical roles and then in health plans and ACOs.  We understand the mission, the resource constraints, and the challenges.  We were told time and again that the data tools we wanted were impossible to build. Naturally, we set about to build them anyway! 

While constantly looking for answers to reduce things like inpatient spend, readmissions, and specialty pharmacy cost inflation, we knew there was clear need for a more efficient solution to operate the clinical side of the business.  We realized that our colleagues in other organizations confirmed this need and shared a common problem — we were all awash with data devoid of answers or actionable reporting. 

Enter Skein! In 2015, Skein Health was formed by senior healthcare and technology executives who set out to transform how healthcare organizations collect, view and utilize data. Skein derives its name from the V-shape formation of a flock of geese that take flight in orderly lines to ensure efficiency and their ability to fly further-together.  This forms the basis of our philosophy: Work with our clients to do more together than we could ever do alone.
